Help build a mosque for refugees in the City of Prophets

in Şanliurfa, Turkey

Our vision is to build a mosque that not only fulfils spiritual needs but also becomes a centre for learning, unity, and social welfare.

Our organization, On The Ground 2030, has been actively working to support the local Muslim community through various initiatives, including educational programs, charitable activities, and interfaith dialogues. Given the urgent need for a proper mosque in the area, we have undertaken this project as a vital step in serving the community.

This project aims to establish a new, and much needed mosque in Şanlıurfa, Turkey to serve the growing Muslim community. This mosque will not only be a place of worship but will also function as a centre for education, community services, and social development.

The Muslim population in Şanlıurfa, Turkey has been steadily growing, with an increasing need for adequate religious and community facilities. Currently, the area lacks sufficient prayer facilities, with over 60,000 people who don’t have sufficient access to a mosque to pray. This leads to overcrowding in the limited mosques in the area and increases the difficulty in accessing important religious services. By constructing a purpose-built mosque, we will provide a spiritual and educational hub that benefits thousands of worshippers and future generations.

To achieve this goal, we seek £580,000 in funding to cover land acquisition, construction, and essential amenities.
